STUDYING THE LEGENDS OF THE KYRGYZ FOLKLORE

Culture and folklore are the lifeblood of a nation. Oral storytelling plays an important role in the formation of Kyrgyz culture and identity, which is based on the old nomadic Turkic civilization, closely associated with the traditional way of life. Legends in oral literature differ from other genres in their types of distribution and reproduction, the audience of the narrator and the richness of content. Legends are oral literary treasures that have emerged in the direction of interpreting human social events, natural events and forms. Scientists have conducted various studies of Kyrgyz legends, which have a very rich and deep tradition. Books, collections and dissertations in the aforementioned field of study were reviewed and analyzed in our study
