The author of the article examines the problem of cultural adaptation of foreign students. For international students in China, intercultural adaptation is the first challenge they face when studying and living in the country. In this article, intercultural adaptation of foreign students in China is taken as a starting point; the dilemmas and problems they encounter are analyzed, and strategies are proposed to improve their ability for intercultural adaptation from the perspectives of strengthening cultural contacts, promoting exchanges between Chinese and foreign students, and enhancing psychological adaptation. Research has shown that the ability of foreign students to adapt interculturally plays an important role in their studies and daily life in China
