TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AS A FACTOR OF THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE ETHNOUS

The article examines traditional knowledge as one of the most important factors in maintaining the sustainability of modern society. The process of Westernization of traditional societies and global integration determines the study of traditional culture, traditional knowledge, which reveals the uniqueness of the spiritual and material culture of the ethnic group. It is noted that currently there is a radical reassessment of values, universalization and standardization of all aspects of society, and traditions and customs formed during centuries of historical development are being leveled out. The authors examines current aspects of traditional ecological, ethno- animal, and ethno-pedagogical knowledge. In conclusion, it is concluded that in order to preserve ethnic identity and the sustainability of society, it is necessary to take its place in the system of the world cultural process, preserving its unique cultural space, language, traditional knowledge and at the same time adapt to the globalizing world
