This article analyzes the current state of pension funds in the Kyrgyz Republic and their development prospects. It addresses issues within the pension system, including the inefficiency of the solidarity system and the insufficient funding of pension provision. The importance of the accumu- lative pension system and its potential for growth is also highlighted. Using the example of the NPF “Kyrgyzstan” fund, the economic and social roles of pension funds are discussed. The article pres- ents a comparative analysis of the activities of Kyrgyz pension funds based on global experience. The author explores the possibility of creating an effective model by studying the pension systems of other countries. As part of the pension reform, attention is also given to developing stable, long-term investment strategies and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors
