This study analyzes the role of faith in the "Manas" epic and its influence on the characters' destinies. Various beliefs, from religious cults to philosophical concepts, and their reflection in key plot collisions are examined. It examines the conflict between traditional Kyrgyz beliefs and external ideologies that influence the main characters. The methodological basis compares episodes involving Manas, his allies, and opponents, where faith determines the events. A pat- tern emerges: characters following Indigenous values achieve victory, while adherence to alien doctrines leads to defeat. This contributes to understanding the formation of collective con- sciousness and its significance for people's historical fate
