SOME LEGENDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE EMERGENCE OF VILLAGE NAMES IN THE KYRGYZ FOLKLORE
Huseyin SatıcıogluKyrgyz people are one of the nations were able to bring to our days the rich cultural heritage of the nomadic ancient Turkic civilization. The geographic conditions of Kyrgyzstan have influenced traditional culture and beliefs, making them more protected from external factors. The original culture of the Kyrgyz, based on Turkic mythology, is manifested in rituals, ceremonies, beliefs and oral stories practiced in the provinces. Toponymic legends associated with the name of villages have a special place in terms of the mythological and cultural content of texts and also onomastics, because villages are «capillaries» that support traditional culture, pass it on to future generations and nourish national culture. In our study, the legends associated with the names of the villages Atbashi, Tamga, Toru Aigyr, Ak Debe, Aryk Uulu, Kalmak Kyrchyn, Kuturgan, Kulundu, Darkhum and Lebedinovka were considered
