As is known in history, at the beginning of the 19th century there were real threats to the Kyrgyz land and the people living on it. Conflicts arising from internal misunderstandings between the tribes, on the one hand, the Qin Empire of China, and on the other, the dominant policy of the Kokon Khanate, which invaded the Kyrgyz land, did not prevent the emergence of heroes from among the people, and the struggle for the independence of the Kyrgyz people against the raids of the invaders did not reach to its goal without heroes. The poet A. Chorobaev, as a collector of folklore works, a genealogist, a person who knows the value of words, turned to the history of his people, who lived a real life, barely frozen in the minds of the people, whose significance did not lose its significance, despite the change of centuries, courageously defending the freedom of their land and the people from the raids of thousands of barbarians, who managed to gather people from their mouths, dress them in a suitable form, inspire them, shape the civic qualities of future generations, encourage Kyrgyz sons and daughters and turn them into a wonderful work that will stimulate the awakening of patriotic feelings and present it to readers. The poem «Taylak baatyr» tells about the deeds of the Taylak hero, the leader of the liberation struggle against the oppression of the Kokon Khanate in the first half of the 19th century
