THE FORMATION OF POLYSEMANTIC WORDS IN A METAPHORICAL WAY

The article deals with the formation of polysemantic words through metaphor. The expansion of the meanings of polysemantic words occurs at different times. This process is connected with the history of the development of the language as a whole. The semantic structure of polysemantic words is determined by the analysis of its constituent components
