The Concept of “Family” in the Kyrgyz Language and Culture

Linguistic and cultural communication is part of the research framework of linguocultural studies. Linguoculturology is a science that studies phenomena of national culture that have emerged as a result of the combination of language and cultural studies, which are reproduced and stabilized in language. One of the main topics of linguocultural research is the concept. Mental constructs containing national character, consciousness, and national-cultural elements are reflected in language, and through linguistic means, they express the features of thinking, moral and ethical worldview, and general worldview of a people. This article analyzes the concept of “family” in the Kyrgyz language. The reflection of the notion of family in the linguistic culture of the Kyrgyz people is provided. In this regard, stable expressions and proverbs are presented as examples, and their meanings are interpreted. The study revealed the national-cultural specificity of the concept of “family”
