Bulletin of the Bishkek State University

The article is devoted to the analysis of stylistic features of the Old Russian and Old Belaru- sian data of the charters created in the period from the XIV to the XVI century on the territory of Novgorod, Pskov, Polotsk and Novogrudok lands. The paper describes the structural and semantic organization of these charters, characterizes individual formulas in their composition and the use of lexical means to express the category of space. The features of the structural, semantic and lexical design of the studied texts are revealed. The peculiarity of this study is due to the possibility of clarifying the processes of development of business writing in two closely related languages and identifying national and cultural specifics reflected in the texts under study. The material for the article was the texts of documents that were created on the territory of Novgorod, Pskov, Polotsk and Novogrudok lands. The total volume of the studied docu- ments is presented in text form
