THE PLACE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF LITERARY TRANSLATION IN THE ARTISTIC PROCESS
R. IsmailovaThe article deals with the role and influence of literary translation in the creation and development of national literature. The theory and principles of literary translation, methodological techniques, as well as issues of emergence and formation in the post-Soviet space, especially in Russian and Soviet literature, have been the subject of discussion and literary controversy for many years. Almost the majority of Kyrgyz poets-writers, who raised the foundation of our professional literature, began their activities with literary translation, translating works of representatives of world literature through the Russian language. It is known that the first Kyrgyz intellectuals were educated in the cities of Kazan and Almaty and for the first time got acquainted with literary works in the Tatar and Kazakh languages. They even wrote their first works in the Kazakh language. For example, “Dead Souls” by Nikolai Gogol was first translated from Kazakh into Kyrgyz. There were no dictionaries and reference books that could help poets and writers entering the new genre [ Kh. Karasaev ]
