PROBLEMS OF TEACHING LITERACY TO PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
G. NusupovaThis article presents pedagogical ideas about ways to improve literacy in elementary school and the scientific foundations of literacy teaching methods. During the period of literacy training, it is shown that the native language is the basis of learning and formation of basic speech skills (reading and writing). It is emphasized that in the implementation of the acquisition of competencies by students, individual work of the teacher with the student, problem-based learning, learning by activating the creative activity of students, etc. is necessary. The directions of literacy training are proposed.It was clearly emphasized that an elementary school teachershould take a new look at the learning process, know the psychological mechanisms of personality formation and achieve effective success, using modern educational technologies in classes.It was shown that today one of the pedagogical tasks is to introduce new methods into the learning process that will help students not only master certain knowledge and skills in a particular field of activity, but also develop their creative abilities
