THEORETICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL BASES OF LANGUAGE TEACHING IN A MULTILINGUAL ENVIRONMENT

The article discusses best practices of European countries, Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan on use of multilingualism in preschool institutions. Relatively productive in kindergarten is a multilingual mother tongue-based curriculum. The development of  native language is especially important for the successful learning of a second language: bilingualism develops only when a person can concentrate and express his thoughts in at least one language. Therefore, the second language is included in the educational process of group after children reach age of three, and child, as a rule, masters his native language. The article emphasizes that on the basis of the native language, the child develops the first skills of using the language in various communicative situations, and the second language serves as a means of communication with other ethnic groups
